Gr Onion: Your taste buds will rejoice in this Asian-style cuisine. Serve with steamed, fresh snow peas. Choose green onions with crisp, bright green tops and a firm white base. Select those with the most white up the stem. Refrigerate, wrapped in a plastic bag, up to 5 days. Little preparation is required other than rinsing thoroughly. Pork: Fried rice with pork tenderloin strips becomes an entrée rather than a side dish. Choose pork that is pale pink. Trim excess fat prior to cooking. Use pork within 6 hours or wrap loosely in waxed paper and store in the coldest part of the refrigerator for 2 days. After handling pork, wash hands, knives, and cutting boards with hot soapy water.
